After a lot of hard work, we have assembled a brand new website for Twin Ports Broadcasting. In fact not only have we begun the redesign work of all the TPBC websites, but we have also incorporated ourselves as a not for profit corporation.
While we won't bore you with the details of the incorporation, we will tell you that the Twin Ports Broadcasting Corporation will be supporting and building several websites that include the "History of Twin Ports Broadcasting", "Twin Ports Media Blog", "Twin Ports Media Forum" and "The WDTH FM Project."
Internet radio is also an new area for TPBC to be involved in. We have entered into a partnership with BackSpinRadio.NET, a not for profit station that has a "total oldies" format playing music from nearly every genre and year. Currently BSR plays classic rock and oldies from the 50's to the 90's and will be adding more programming and music genres in the next few months.
Our best kept secret (until now) is the "The WDTH FM Project." WDTHFM.COM has been acquired as our newest website offering. The website will be all "WDTH FM 103" with what we will hope will be filled with stories from former dee jays and hopefully photos, any music surveys, playlists and more. We will be streaming on the internet with the help of BackSpinRadio a recreation of the "WDTH sound." A lot of behind the scenes work has been going on for a while now that will bring the original sound of WDTH back to life. BackSpinRadio has gratiously given us many hours of program time that will allow us to make this happen. In the next few weeks we should be good to go on streaming the old WDTH FM. The plan is to have our own stream for WDTH and have it stream off its website. We will need dee jays to volunteer to play the music too! So here's your chance to live out a personal dream or fantasy being a dee jay for WDTH.
However, we are in need of hearing from former dee jays, listeners, volunteers, etc to help us get the "sound" right. Please contact us by way of email if you would like to help. Email us at webmaster@twinportsbroadcasting.com As we mentioned already we NEED people to dee jay for us. Use the same email address to contact us if you're interested.
There is so much going on right that we just don't have the space here to tell you all about it. We ask that you be patient with us as we put things together. We are currently a one and a half man operation. Hopefully once all is together we can start taking on volunteers to help us get things going.
Stay in touch with us by way of our Twin Ports Media Blog blog page. That will be our news and information page for a while until we complete the projects that have priority. One of those main priorities is setting up the corporation as a 501 c(3) under the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service. Once this is in place, we can accept donations for our various projects under the TPBC Corp umbrella and in return give our donors a tax deduction. We also have some corporation building to do as well which we will get into at another time.
Until then, stay tuned for future updates and stay in touch with us as well with your ideas and information. Hearing from our supporters is a great encouragement and is very much appreciated!
